As the wild salmon go, so we go.
Excerpted from British Columbia Wild Salmon Advocate Alexandra Morton’s article in the “Westcoaster” newspaper:
The website for Friends of Port Mouton shows a grim-faced Nova Scotia fisherman holding a fish farm protest sign.
The caption reads, “Something’s wrong when you have to fight like this just to keep your friggin’ harbour.”
He’s right.
Something is very wrong, and my grizzled-faced fisherman neighbours are standing in this man’s shoes a continent away.
While government scoffs at the science, the fact is the wild salmon are vanishing on the extinction trajectory we predicted.
As the wild salmon go, so we go….

Am I missing something? Do these super-rich men without country who travel the globe with their extraction/exploitation get rich schemes know something that we don’t? Like for instance is there a space ship coming to pick them up right before the world ends but only if they have billions of dollars for space ship gas money? That’s it isn’t it?! I mean shit, man! There’s all this empirical scientific evidence out there that say’s, “don’t mine here or farm invasive species there, don’t dump toxic waste in the water, don’t clear cut forests, etc. They pretend that it’s not “necessarily true” but they know for a fact they’re doing the wrong thing but it doesn’t matter ’cause the world is going to end anyway and the spaceships are coming. Fuhhhhh, I’m always the last to know this stuff.

They ARE space aliens…
Did you see “There Will Be Blood?” ‘Splained a lot to me about the capitalist elite psyche, ie: another man’s gain is my own loss. They don’t want to “get along.” They want to be the last man still breathing.

I’ve thought the same thing I don’t know how many times, WT. Greed is a powerful thing.

Education and Protest;
Don’t buy Farmed Salmon
Take the time to relay the information about the perils of Farmed Salmon to other Anglers, and Non-Anglers alike.
There are many who have no idea what is going on.
Their names are Joe and Jane Public! They are the largest group of purchasers.
No Market….No Money!

Here’s an OK list of OK stuff that you can eat from the Ocean and feel OK about it. In case you were like me and didn’t know what was OK and what isn’t.
